Baby Safety

Baby safety can best be ensured with constant supervision, but it doesn't hurt to add extra baby safety measures.

Baby Safety

Don't you wish there was a baby safety product to keep your baby safe in every situation? Since there's not, it's up to you to do what you can to ensure infant safety for your baby.

Baby Safety and Food

Any child expert will tell you that the best way to prevent accidents is to make sure that your baby is always being watched by a caregiver. But no matter how much we worry about baby safety, we cannot prevent everything. 2,800 children and infants die each year of choking-related deaths, making it extremely important to watch closely for the things that can caused it. It is important for every parent and caregiver to know CPR for babies because it is preformed differently on them than it is on adults and could save a life.

Potential Choking Hazards

There are plenty of things for baby to explore and play with that do not pose a choking threat, so do away with anything that threatens baby safety, even if he shows a particular interest it. They're usually more interested in things they should stay away from than their parent-approved toys! There are no baby safety devices that can prevent choking or save a child who is choking. So it is up to us as caregivers to make baby safety paramount by making baby's surrounding as safe as possible. There are some very simple things you can do to help prevent choking.

If you are neither a parent or a caregiver, but have a baby or toddler coming to your house for a visit, be sure to childproof your home before they arrive using any baby safety products that are appropriate. That means removing small objects from easy to reach spots. If you are still not clear or are in doubt, check out a toddler safety or child safety website to clue you in. And remember that their hands are much smaller and can slip into spaces that an adult hand cannot. Getting hold of baby safety gates is another great option because you can block off entire rooms and thus making them "childproof."
