	<title>Infant Safety Devices</title>
	<description>
Infant safety devices can help set your mind at ease
You could literally go broke buying all the infant safety devices you see advertised and in stores. It seems there are thousands of new ones on the market every year. The vast majority of them are not at all useful and if bought will be quickly forgotten. But, there are some that can truly make a new parent's life much easier.

Keeping an Extra Eye on Your Newborn
Whether your new baby has its own room or will be spending the first few months of life next to mom and dad's bed, there will be times when the little one sleeps alone. In the first few months infants sleep most of the time and this affords the caregiver to get other things done around the house. But during these times infant safety is still top priority and thus the popularity of baby monitors. They allow the caregiver to tend to anything else in the house while simultaneously keeping careful track of the movements and sounds of the sleeping infant.

The most common baby monitor is one that acts somewhat like a walkie-talkie. The caregiver can hear any sound coming from the child's room, but the baby cannot hear the noise coming from the caregiver's end. Out of all the infant safety devices the traditional baby monitor is most widely used. Mother or any other caregiver can go about household chores, or even those in the yard depending on the range, without having to worry as much about how the infant is faring.

There are also more and more sophisticated monitors coming out all the time. There are some that function as portable surveillance cameras. You put the camera in the child's room and the monitor can be carried on your person wherever you go around the house. With these infant safety products the caregiver not only hears the sounds from the baby, but can also see how the child is doing.

In addition to some infant safety devices, try and get as many infant safety tips as you can. Some may be of little use to you, but there are more that could really end up saving a life someday!
